First Year Carrier is independent and isn't affiliated with FMCSA, USDOT or any government agency. Everything on this site, including the deadline lookup and the audit file check, is general information based on public data and published federal rules. It isn't legal advice, and it doesn't replace the notices FMCSA sends you. If something here disagrees with an official notice, follow the notice.

The deadline lookup

The lookup uses FMCSA's public carrier data, which can be out of date or incomplete. Dates are worked out from the published rules and the start date you enter. We don't promise they're right for your situation.

The audit file check

  • What it is: a written review of the records you send, checking whether the records the new entrant safety audit looks at exist, are complete and are current, against the rules cited in the report.
  • What it isn't: a guarantee that you'll pass, legal advice, or a filing of any kind. We don't contact FMCSA, attend audits or act for you.
  • Delivery: within 2 business days of receiving complete records, by email.
  • Price: as shown on the order page when you buy.

Refunds

  • If your report is late, you get a full refund and keep the report.
  • Ask within 7 days of receiving your report, for any reason, and you get a full refund.
  • Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe.

Limits

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything related to this site or an audit file check is limited to the amount you paid us. We're not responsible for the outcome of an audit, which FMCSA or its state partner decides.
